PayFacto, a well-rounded fintech institution providing payment processing solutions to merchants, is growing quickly and executing on an ambitious transformation to maintain its leadership in a face pace business environment.  Our team is known for exceptional payments experience, strong vision, problem solving and going above and beyond for our clients.

Working from our Nun’s Island office and reporting into the Vice President, PMO & Business Transformation, the Project Manager will lead the execution of strategic initiatives, including the development and launch of new products, services and platforms.

In your role you will be responsible for :

 

Coordinate planning of projects

  • Ensure core team is clear on objectives, scope and resources.
  • Work with core team to prepare, implement and monitor project plan, including budget and schedules.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using verified tools and techniques.
  • Assess project risks and develop proper contingency plan.

 

Drive execution and reporting

  • Lead project core teams.
  • Organize and manage all phases of the project life cycle.
  • Ensure staff and customers are provided with timely and accurate project information and status updates.
  • Measure and report on project performance.
  • Lead project reviews and ensure proper reporting on progress to relevant stakeholders.

 

Support problem solving

  • Help structure problem solving and leverage subject matter experts.
  • Ensure proper arbitration or escalation of issues.

 

Provide expertise and radiate knowledge

  • Act as an expert in project management, supporting the development, planning and execution of projects.
  • Collaborate to document, communicate and administer key project management processes (e.g. scope, schedule, issue, risk, quality, communications and financial).
  • Help implement recognized Project Management methodology to ensure projects are managed effectively (e.g. managing scope, time, cost, performance, communication, human resources, contracts, materials, risks and quality).
  • Provide mentoring and direction to employees on project management practices.
  • Evaluate project and lessons learned via post-project review processes.

 

Essential Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years in information technology with a broad knowledge of emerging technologies.
  • 5+ years of proven project management.
  • Ability to travel with 20-30% travel is to be expected.
  • Strong knowledge in PMO methodologies and reporting best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Information Technology and software development lifecycle.
  • Proficient in project management and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
  • Knowledge in Workfront is an asset.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated cross functional teamwork and collaboration.
  • Successfully engage in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical skills to discuss problems, analyze solutions/options, evaluate and enable improved processes.
  • Strong organization and planning skills and excellent communication skills on all levels.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Education or Certifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline required, MBA a plus.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Agile (PMI-ACP/Scrum Master) certification is a plus.
