Bilingual Senior Content Creator

Working from our Nun’s Island, Downtown Montreal, Repentigny, or Levis offices and reporting to the CMO, the Senior Content Creator participates in developing and executing all marketing communications activities that support the strategic and operating goals of the company. This includes but is not limited to collateral tasks (brochures, case studies, white papers etc.), executive presentations, advertising, promotions, event messaging, social media (blog, LinkedIn, etc.), web content, and public relations.

We are looking for an experienced content creator to join our Marketing team, partnering closely with sales along with a variety of other departments to write clear and succinct communications across a variety of settings and styles that support our sales team as well as provide clients, partners, and potential clients with added clarity on how our products will benefit their business on many levels.

Our ideal candidate will be able to parse information from existing documents and actively follow up on any gaps in information with the appropriate department/colleague, to create compelling narratives and well written messaging on behalf of our internal sales team as well as partners across different audiences and regions. Your superpower is being able to work cross-functionally to create accurate, clear, and brand-relevant copy suitable for all digital & print media, including email communications. You are comfortable editing and proofreading your own work and can work autonomously without losing sight of the value of collaboration and open communication.

Organization, attention to detail, a commitment to high standards, and having inbound marketing principles and best practices in your DNA will be the key to succeeding in this role.

Essential Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

 

  • Ghostwriting, editing and publishing multimedia (digital, print, etc.) for a variety of verticals including but not limited to B2B & B2C marketing-focused assets such as articles, client case studies, whitepapers, video scripts, industry-leading research reports, and targeted collateral to be distributed through various channels
  • Writing sales collateral (1-pagers, slide decks, evaluation guides, brochures, flyers, etc.) to educate and engage prospective clients throughout the buyer’s journey
  • Refining and adding content for various deliverables as needed, often working with the project requester to better understand their subject matter and goals, helping to translate those into stronger content
  • Collaborating closely with partners and clients to develop an understanding of the personality and communication style and adjust deliverables to fit that style
  • Preparing newsletter content that will delight various audiences (partners, HR professionals, organizational leaders)
  • Monitoring and managing social media channels by developing or sharing relevant and interesting content
  • Copyediting and proofreading English and French content to ensure tone and voice are consistent with brand guidelines, and material is error-free
  • Ensuring content pieces are optimized for SEO keywords to promote organic traffic
  • Collaborating across departments and becoming an industry expert to capture valuable insights for our content
  • Demonstrate a sensitivity to culture of the audience in verbal and written communication

 

Essential Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Perfectly bilingual, French & English speaking and writing abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, writing and research skills, strong editorial and creative skills, with the ability to craft and edit messaging
  • The ability to write for readability, clarity, voice, tone and branding and a strong passion for story-telling
  • The ability to work on multiple cross-functional projects with different objectives simultaneously and excellent organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications, Education or Certifications:

 

  • BA or equivalent degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience editing/writing content marketing materials and copywriting sales assets (hospitality/payments/technology experience is a plus)
