Reporting to the Director of QA, the Quality Assurance team lead will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining automation test infrastructures. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will work with the team of developers and lead the QA Analysts team to design and implement the automation framework for integration testing, build approval and regression testing for web-enabled software & web services. This position will be based out of the Nun’s Island office, although Repentigny is an option if frequent attendance in Nun’s Island can be accommodated.

Task Description

  • Create and maintain test automation infrastructures
  • Implement an automation plan and framework to automate existing manual test cases
  • Participate in discussions around the design of the framework for automation and build out regression tests based on existing test cases
  • Manage and guide the testing team to develop test plans and test cases with QA automation best practices
  • Collaborate with QA manager, Engineering Managers/Leads, and business and technology stakeholders to identify the appropriate data for testing and prepare that data for test cases
  • Document and analyse results
  • Document and track issues
  • Work closely with the development team to solve problems.
  • Configure and maintain test environments


  • Strong knowledge of configuring a test environment and infrastructure (Selenium, UFT, etc.…)
  • Familiarity and experience with setting up CI/CD processes ex: BITBucket/
  • Must have strong experience creating an automation test plan, framework design and implementation
  • Experience working with Web services; exposure to REST APIs, GUI, Browser testing
  • Proficient with Windows/Linux environments
  • Understanding of automated testing best practices
  • AWS Cloud based testing experience
  • UI test automation framework experience
  • Experience with Gitlab, Postman, Cucumber
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence as well as with the integration of reports related to automated testing
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages
  • Experience with resources management


  • Highly motivated self-starter, who works well under minimal supervision
  • Relevant experience in quality assurance
  • Work under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Good verbal and written communication (English-French)
  • Knowledge of full system life cycles
  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices and tools
  • Strong Experience in writing test cases, test plans, and structured test methodology
  • Development experience in test scripts, execution and reporting also required
