Working from our Nun’s Island office and reporting into the Executive Vice President, Product and Sales Engineering, the Product Manager will be responsible for the complete product lifecycle, including defining the vision of their product(s), define the strategy and coordinate development and launch/Post Launch.

In your role you will be responsible for :

 

Gather and structure business intelligence

  • Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation.
  • Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build vs. buy perspective.
  • Appraise new product ideas and define appropriate go-to-market strategies.

 

Define requirements and roadmap

  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements.
  • Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re successful achieved.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain programs timelines and roadmap, coordinating across departments.

 

Drive execution

  • Act as product owner.
  • Drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the company.
  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, business cases, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, sales, marketing, development, QA and customer support on the development and release of products.
  • Arbitrate / escalate product related issues.

 

Essential Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Passionate about Product Management with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years in information technology with a broad knowledge of emerging technologies.
  • Strong knowledge in Product Management methodologies.
  • Experience or Interest in User Research methods/User Science.
  • Proficient in product management, project management and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
  • Highly creative and detailed oriented.
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated cross functional teamwork and collaboration.
  • Successfully engage in multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Education or Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics or a related discipline required, MBA a plus.
  • Product Management Certification a plus.
  • Experience as Scrum Master or leading teams/meetings is an asset.
